Gippsland Forest Guardians - Searching for Slenders.
A short advocacy/awareness/documentary-style film I made for the Gippsland Forest Guardians, featuring Stuart Inchley. It focuses on the environmental significance of this area, as well as the recent discovery of what is presumed to be the largest remaining population of the critically endangered Slender Tree-Fern. "The Strezlecki Ranges are a ‘final refuge’ for some of Victoria’s highest conservation value rainforest. These forests contain incredible biodiversity, (including the Slender Tree-Fern) and are breathtakingly beautiful. There is not much left. Most of the hill tops have been given over to logging operations leaving the rainforest exposed and vulnerable. We are working to protect what remains for future generations of all species…. animals, plants and people (as well as fungus and slime mould)" - Gippsland Forest Guardians.
